The Weston County Historical Society will be hosting a program presented by the Weston County Museum District at the Upton Branch Library on Friday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m.
The presentation will be on artist, Jacob William Benson. Mr. Benson was a talented artist that traveled around the country painting for extra money. In the 1950's he came to Wyoming and ultimately ended up painting the artwork that is on the walls at the Western Bar (now named Polly's Pub). The paintings are painted directly on the plaster walls and are surrounded with brands from the surrounding area.
Some of the original paintings can still be viewed by visiting the former Western Bar and Cafe (now named Polly's Pub).
Join the Weston County Historical Society and the Museum District for this informative program on Friday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the Upton Branch Library.
