BOOK DISCUSSION TO MEET

The Book Discussion group will meet Thursday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Upton Branch Library meeting room.  There are copies of the book available for you to borrow from the library.

The second book in our book discussion series is the story of Anne Moody and what it was like to have grown up black in Mississippi in the forties and fifties - and how she survived with her pride and courage intact.

BOOK DISCUSSION

UPTON BRANCH LIBRARY ANNOUNCES A READING AND DISCUSSION PROGRAM OF WOMEN’S MEMOIRS

Starting in August, Upton Branch Library hosts “Ordinary Lives: Memoirs of American Women,” a reading and discussion series in the Wyoming Humanities Council’s Reading Wyoming program. The discussion group meets August 16, September 20, October 18 and November 15 at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. To 
register and borrow books, contact the library at 468-2324 or stop by the library at 722 4th St.
Participants will read and discuss “Bronx Primitive” by Kate Simon, “Road Song” by Natalie Kusz, “All But the Waltz” by Mary Clearman Blew, and “Coming of Age in Mississippi” by Anne Moody. All of these books present women writers finding their places in the world.
Betty Strong returns to lead the discussions.

CALLING ALL DREAMERS!

UPTON BRANCH LIBRARY LAUNCHES 
SUMMER READING PROGRAM


Readers of all ages will enjoy reading activities this summer as Upton Branch Library presents "Dream Big - READ!" during their summer reading program.  Activities for children include various crafts and coloring pages, and even a pajama craft & story time.

The Upton Branch Library will be hosting a magic show on July 23 that the entire community will be welcome to attend so keep watch for more news on the show.


The 2012 Summer Reading Program is open to all people, preschool through adult.  Registration for "Dream Big - READ!" begins on Wednesday, May 30.  For more information, call the library at 468-2324 or look for us on Facebook under Upton Library.

Book Discussion to Take Place

The Upton Branch Library will be a hosting a book discussion on Thursday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library meeting room.  Our moderator will be Betty Strong and the book to be discussed is, "Skinwalkers" by Tony Hillerman.

There are several copies of the book available to pickup at the Upton Branch Library.  If you are interested in this book discussion and have already read the book you are more than welcome to join in the discussion.  If you haven't read this book, stop by and pickup a copy to read before the evening discussion.
