BOOK DISCUSSION TO MEET
The Book Discussion group will meet Thursday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Upton Branch Library meeting room. There are copies of the book available for you to borrow from the library.
The second book in our book discussion series is the story of Anne Moody and what it was like to have grown up black in Mississippi in the forties and fifties - and how she survived with her pride and courage intact.

UPTON BRANCH LIBRARY ANNOUNCES A READING AND DISCUSSION PROGRAM OF WOMEN’S MEMOIRS
Starting in August, Upton Branch Library hosts “Ordinary Lives: Memoirs of American Women,” a reading and discussion series in the Wyoming Humanities Council’s Reading Wyoming program. Participants will read and discuss “Bronx Primitive” by Kate Simon, “Road Song” by Natalie Kusz, “All But the Waltz” by Mary Clearman Blew, and “Coming of Age in Mississippi” by Anne Moody. All of these books present women writers finding their places in the world.
Betty Strong returns to lead the discussions.
