Chocolate Extravaganza to be Held February 11, 2012

The Upton Branch Library will be holding a Chocolate Extravaganza on Saturday, February 11, 2012.

The Chocolate Extravaganza will be held at the Upton Community Center from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and there will be a $2.00 admission charge per person. Children 4 years of age and younger will be admitted free.

For your $2.00 admission fee you will be able to sample all sorts of foods made from chocolate. We will have cheesecakes, truffles, cookies, cakes, etc. We will have water and coffee to compliment your chocolate experience.

No food will be allowed to leave the building during the event. After the event ends at 4:00 p.m. we will offer the remaining chocolate items by the plateful for a donation to the Upton Branch Library. No admission is charged after the official closing of the event at 4:00 p.m.

We are also asking area cooks and candy makers to create chocolate goodies and donate to our Chocolate Extravaganza. You may bring them to the Upton Branch Library on the Friday afternoon before or between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. on the day of the event.

We are holding this years Chocolate Extravaganza at the Upton Community Center to allow more room to have adequate seating and room to explore all the chocolate items.

The chocolate fountain will be running with plenty of items for you to hold under the chocolate waterfall. We will have fruit, pretzels, marshmallows and other great items to coat with chocolate.

We are also looking for volunteers to help set up the event space and to help serve the chocolate items. If you can help us, please call the library at 468-2324.

Your library appreciates your help with this fund raiser. Your supports helps to provide needed books, summer reading supplies and equipment that are not supported by the regular library budget.

Please let us know you can help by creating a chocolate item. Your item must contain some type of chocolate and can be milk, dark, semi-sweet, German sweet or white chocolate.
